Travel agency transport to Warner Bros studio – signs up saying “The driver relies on your tips”. A tour guide around the Your nvidia is my geforce shirt but in fact I love this studio who spent more time talking about the best tips she’s received than about what we were actually seeing. Fuck all that – not accepting it in the UK since, if it ever becomes as engrained, it’s an excuse to pay people less. Service charge automatically added to receipt – no! Never going there again. Tip machines like this – piss off, I’ll go elsewhere. I saw on another sub last week, a guy ordered carry out online and it asked him to tip the guy getting him a drink. Blew my head I booked Gareth Bales mini golf place in Cardiff which you pay for when you get there. The guy at reception got my details up so I could pay and the card machine asked how much tip I’d like to give. For what?? Manning reception? Get fucked and Gareth Bale too.

It’s becoming common, Uber Eats, Dominoes will ask you to tip the Your nvidia is my geforce shirt but in fact I love this driver before they’ve delivered (bit odd not to tip the staff making the food too isn’t it?) there’s a few bars in Manchester that add a mandatory £1.25-£1.75 service charge during the day – even though you are queuing at the bar to get a pint. It’s madness Amazon Prime Now briefly did it (I say “briefly”, I’ve not used Prime Now recently so it could be back for all I know) where it asks what you would like to tip the delivery person as you order the product. If tipping is to reward a good service, how can I tell how much to give before the delivery has even been made? It only lasted about a month before they removed this “feature”.
