For example, if they decide the Young Thug An American Rapper 1991 T-Shirt also I will do this carpets should have lasted 15 years and they cost £2,000 when fitted 12 years ago. Then you would owe £400 (£2,000 / 15) * (15 – 12) not the full £2,000. I’ve not got much to offer but support and then that was also the first thought I had – have you documented everything that’s broken over the years and reported it to him? It sounds like he’s trying to take you for a fool! But they may argue that in leaving thing broken, subsequent damages have occurred without them being able to fix it. No, the landlord is in the wrong here. But…when those thing stopped working, why didn’t you go to the landlord and tell them so they could be fixed / replaced? One of the main advantages of renting is not having to worry about such costs, and you shouldn’t have to live without them either.

Aren’t those things the Young Thug An American Rapper 1991 T-Shirt also I will do this responsibility of the landlord, as the owner of the property? They should be required to replace those, not you. NAL but a shower leaking, a broken oven, and a lot of the other wear and tear stuff sounds like they’re already not keeping their side of the agreement. Those are things a landlord is responsible for fixing/reolacing (and you need to tell them about it). Carpets last for 10 years on average before needing replacing, I don’t see how they could possibly expect these to be in a good condition. In the ‘good ole US of A’s we have what’s called a normal wear and tear clause. That is to say what would normally occur over the course of time from handling furnishings more appropriately fixtures, switches , appliances, carpet, floor surfaces, toilets, sinks etc etc. That would not hold up in court if a landlord tried to make you pay for any of these items such as a boiler, dishwasher, water heater, or shower, the judge would laugh them out of the courtroom or fine the landlord for being a nuisance for bringing it in front of them to begin with
