If you want somewhere quieter go to Da Nang and then take a bus/taxi to Hoi An from the airport It’s a beautiful little town and there’s a beach and plenty of markets etc. Do a bit of research and find out how much things should cost. You’ll never get scammed again. A quick dismissive wave or no, and then completely ignoring them will work 99% of the time.
