Also, I dont even have a lawn. The HOAs will fine you for having bald patches in your front lawn but then they’ll also fine you for watering it. Most people have just opted to buy that nasty fake grass that feels like itchy plastic. Shasta Lake is the largest reservoir in the state and the cornerstone of California’s Central Valley Project, a complex water system made of 19 dams and reservoirs as well as more than 500 miles of canals, stretching from Redding to the north, all the way south to the drought-stricken landscapes of Bakersfield. I was born in Bakersfield. Learned to fish in the rivers running though Bakersfield and oildale. Moved away and went back some 15 years later. Hiking with my dad then it dawned on me that we were walking the bed of what was our old fishing spot… sucks man.
