Approval to purchase training / seminar / online course / etc. to support the We Are Philadelphia Eagles Abbey Road The Champions Signatures Shirt in contrast I will get this transition. (Use opportunity to get supporting tools, resources) The new title will be Director of Widgeting with a new salary of $xxx, xxx, one additional week of annual vacation, eligible to participate in bonus pool, one reserved parking space in the blue lot, one key to director level potty, etc. Writing all of this out itself demonstrates leadership capabilities. It also quantifies expectations and helps them really think through and commit. They may come back and suggest changes, but you’ve given them something to work from instead of asking them to come up with the plan from scratch. Get it in writing – the We Are Philadelphia Eagles Abbey Road The Champions Signatures Shirt in contrast I will get this new job title, the “transition” period, the salary starting on the transition day. If they won’t write you a letter nailing it down, they are playing you. If they will, then hold them to it. If they want you to use your time and put forth the effort to learn the role, they need to provide the resources (pay, mentorship, training, provide clearly defined milestones) to make it happen. As well as off-load some of your current work so you’re able to focus on their new goals for you. They are not going to hire you for the manager position they are going to fleece you for your time, energy and experience. Official title change or don’t take the job. If you can decline it, I suggest that you do. YOU did not apply for this position they are trying to dump at your feet with ZERO extra pay.
