What actually is happening is American culture. In America there is very much a culture of capitalism, working hard, and all that. With that, also comes a culture of individualism. We don’t do things for the Wanted Cowgirls Straight Out of Angola shirt also I will do this good of many…it’s the good of the individual here. The consumer culture is also big here. So, all those things combined and Americans feel like they are “losers” for still living at home past 20ish. Again, it’s the cultural of working hard, individualism, and consumerism all coming to play. It’s so ingrained here that everyone in society looks down on people living with their parents longer. However, most parents here let their kids live with them well into their 20’s if they want. BUT it isn’t something the kids usually want. Again, because they are “losers” if they do that. It would make dating really hard and even their friends would have something to say about it.

Now, I’m 40 and not married. I technically “live” with my parents. However, I chipped in to buy the Wanted Cowgirls Straight Out of Angola shirt also I will do this house we live in at an equal share to them. I help with expenses and all that. I live with them because both of them are disabled and they have a hard time doing a lot of things. If I don’t live here then my mother tries to compensate by doing everything herself and she ends up in the hospital. So, I moved in with them. I was single and just living alone before throwing my money away on rent. It was idiotic because we were paying double the bills and all that. So, I moved in with them. However, if I wanted to date then it would definitely be an issue with most people here in America. People here don’t value someone caring for their family like that. They would think if the parents can’t fully care for themselves they should be in elderly care. My parents still get around great though. They just have trouble keeping up with all the day to day tasks and I don’t mind helping them. So I just don’t worry about what others think. I couldn’t care less.
