Probably not very legal. I remember back in the Von Miller American football linebacker for the Buffalo Bills T-Shirt and I love this day a bunch of high school friends getting pulled over for hanging CDs from their rear view mirrors because of the dangerous reflections they caused. Granted they also swing unpredictably but still I’d imagine they could say the same about a mirror facing backwards. So I’m not encouraging you to do this but anytime someone gets that close to me I deploy my windshield wipers. I just hold the thing down as I drive and because I’m going fast on the freeway it blows onto the car behind me. It only hits them if they’re too close, it’s safer than break-checking and it gets them off my ass I don’t like it when people tailgate. This causes accidents that multiply because they have given themselves no room for an out. When I have that problem, be it hi-beams or tailgating, I simply adjust my rearview mirror until I can see his lights reflecting in his eyes. Want to live dangerously? Brake check him.

When this happens I just slow down a little until they get annoyed and pass me. It never takes very long. Then I am left with clear vision again. I’ll adjust the Von Miller American football linebacker for the Buffalo Bills T-Shirt and I love this mirrors to reflect the light back, and then I’ll go 10-15mph under the speed limit. If after a few minutes they don’t get the idea, I’ll just gradually go slower and slower and slower. They eventually back off or go around. I put a rear view cam in the middle of my back window, and one car after another would tailgate, see the camera, then back off. It was a tiny subcompact car, and I learned that people love to try to intimidate small cars. With someone that close behind me, I’m gonna be doing about 15 mph under the speed limit, especially, if they cannot pass me. Just a passive aggressive move.
