Disregarding the Volleyball Player Senior Class of 2024 Graduation 2024 T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this circumstances to receive this, this doesn’t look too bad. I’d pay $5 at my workplace for this. Just to add, we get a lot of Indian food donated, like this. Plus, every Sunday an Indian food truck parks outside at lunchtime and gives out free vegetarian meals. Want one for later? No problem. Sikh and Indian communities are big on giving back like that. I used to volunteer with my team all the time to do food drives and distribution at a local church. One of my best friends is Sikh and he’s easily the most generous person I’ve ever known. Behind every single disaster (or non-disaster!) is an Indian community that is churning out free meals to those in need. It’s a big deal in India (or at least it was). My grandfather lived his childhood off of 1 meal a day from the local maharaja’s choultry, which were very common, in the early 1900s. Do a hell of a lot for the homeless community in London too. More than just a plate of good, nutritious food, they take the time to engage with those they’re serving. I’m fortunate enough to help them get their hands on leftover produce from some cracking restaurants, and they never fail to put together some astonishing meals! Taking nothing away from our awesome sikh brothers, its an Indian tradition. Its followed across multiple Hindu temples, many mosques and churches, and even those places with mixed religious heritage (yes, its a thing in India. Eg Soofi dargahs) While its great to associate the free food for everyone just trying to avoid another reddit cj that I see here white often

Every person of Indian descent that I have ever met have been just the Volleyball Player Senior Class of 2024 Graduation 2024 T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this kindest people. Glad you’ve got some really kind ones near you! Try going to a party where the hosts are an Italian guy and Indian woman, they provide to go boxes and you’re expected to take food home. I was a very skinny kid, despite eating a lot, and my best friend at the time was Greek. You can imagine how much I was fed at his house. Agree – I work in big tech and we have many, many Indian coworkers and peers. They are so kind and so hardworking, it seems like a wonderful culture to be a part of. I’m sure it’s not all roses but the folks I’ve met have really left an impression on me Langars and Sikh gurdwaras are great if you’re in need of a free meal. I’ve been once as a part of a world religions class in uni and it was a wonderful experience. No obligation to attend the service (though we did), no one tries to push beliefs on you, it’s just an open community kitchen for all to share a free meal. And the food is amazing and flavorful too. And as noted, it’s all vegetarian, not because eating meat is necessarily against Sikh dietary restrictions, but because they want to make sure that langars can accomodate as many people from as many faiths and cultures as possible. Truly great people. Edit cause I wanted to add some more info: It really is an “all are welcome” arrangement. No one is turned away and people from all races, religions, creeds, social statuses are all treated equally. Owing to this equality aspect, when you go to a langar, everyone eats on the floor so no one can be seen as above or below anyone else. Learning about Sikhism in that class was definitely a highlight and I encourage everyone to learn more and maybe even visit a gurdwara one day
