Playing status games (They want to be seen as the VINTAGE HELLFIRE Shirt But I will love this “level headed”/”diplomatic”/”mature” person in the room, and so they play that role with no regard for the content) The first group just want to be part of the conversation without doing the work, so they’re cautious, which is fine. The second group drive me up the wall. We have real world issues that have massive impact on huge chunks of the population, and we’re trying to work through them, and these people show up trying to exploit the opportunity to farm social status/clout. The closest thing to a real centrist that I can respect are people who tend to say “both dominant camps are wrong” and have their own well thought out opinion on the situation.

VINTAGE HELLFIRE Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I’m annoyed at the VINTAGE HELLFIRE Shirt But I will love this left because of the herd mentality and the weird status reinforcement games that make things go off the rails. I despise “centrists” because the only reason I can come up with why anybody would be one is because they care more about looking good than they care about the planet/human lives. The only people who don’t make me livid when discussing political subjects are the ones who have the courage to either shut up or say “I don’t have the information to form a meaningful opinion on this” when that’s the case. I don’t understand the conflict around Israel/Palestine/Gaza well enough to “take a side”. I know people are dying, and I know people who very passionately embrace one side and condemn the other. It’s too messy with too many conflicting takes for me to have any opinion other than “people are dying and that’s sad”.
