This is how I feel. I’m perfectly fine helping other departments but I don’t understand why we all have differing pay if we’re all expected to float between jobs. I hated sending my associates from apparel to work on cap 2 because cap 2 made almost $2 more. When I started, we would get pulled to fresh all the Vintage Christmas Bt21 Shirt But I will love this time, and back then they made more money. They irritated me a lot. Now that we make more, we never get pulled there. Except unloading the trucks. Mostly we get pulled to push carts, which is $2 less, so I don’t mind at all. It is against policy if you work in another area over 50% of your time you’re required to be job coded in that area. I had the reverse happen to me. I worked in claims when Covid hit and claims made more than the areas that would later be called OPD. They put me there for 6 months. A month into it they asked if I wanted to transfer because of how much time I spent over there. I said “no I get paid more for claims and I like claims, but I’m happy to continue to help out where needed”. I thought it would make me look good when I would eventually be going for the team lead spot because I was friends with the team lead and knew she was looking to leave our store. Someone else was chosen and that person was fired like a month later. I haven’t read it for like 18 months, but at that point you could work up to 12 weeks temporarily in a position outside of your own without a pay adjustment.

I never knew that. I did know that if you’re part time and getting full time hours that if you go so many weeks they have to offer full time. I don’t remember how many weeks but I got full time hours most weeks and one week would be part time until it got to where they really needed me to be full time and then I got it. It used to be that is you were consistently scheduled over 33.5 hours for 16 weeks the Vintage Christmas Bt21 Shirt But I will love this company policy was to transition you to full time position. Walmart still doesn’t support working employees full time hours for part time benefits. Ima cart pusher who for reference(walks like 30k steps a shift) basically doesn’t stop moving my whole shift. There are positions in the store That make 1-2-3 dollars more an hour than me that I’m asked to occasionally do when carts are slow. I don’t get how an OGP or Stocker gets paid more than me when my jobs degree of difficulty is significantly greater My maintenance team lead (who doesn’t come in until 21:00) ripped the front end team lead a new asshole because they would pull me (the only maintenance associate on from 17-21) to do cart pushing when I’m supposed to be doing all of the bathrooms. He got here in time to hear her ask me over the radio and told me later that it’s BS. Yeah, carts need to get done at some point but it’s not my fault their turnover is shit.
