A quick google search shows that the Vinicius Jr Real Madrid sport shirt it is in the first place but exact phrase “chipotle chicken burrito bowl” is in common use as a generic term. Imagine if a restaurant named themselves “Mustard,” and tried to sue anyone for advertising a hotdog with mustard on it. Genuinely ridiculous. If you ever want to become ridiculously angry do a little research on trademark infringement cases. How in the hell can this shit show of a restaurant chain own the word chipotle which has been in use for god knows how long? Won’t be eating there again. From the article it seems that it isn’t that sweet green is calling their item a “chipotle chicken burrito bowl” but rather that, along with the name their marketing uses a font that’s “almost identical” to Chipotle’s font and uses their brand’s signature color…. If it was just the name, I’d agree it’s ridiculous, but I don’t think anyone would be outraged if I set up a cellphone shop called “Z-Mobile” and made my logo magenta and then got sued by T-Mobile for infringing in their trademarks Nothing there reminds me of Chipotle. They use a really clean, simple all-caps font. On every item. I’m not sure what advertising contains the color they’re mad about. Chipotle is a flavor. Chipotle chicken is a term tons of companies use. It’d set a terrible precedent to rule in Chipotle’s favor.
