OP, if you are complaining about that, take a note on international destinations. Nyc to del used to be 1500 USD during peak travel season. Now, it’s almost 3000 USD . You must be quoting ryanair seat only pricing here or maybe wish or easyjet, first of this all this price does not include checkin , handbaggage and seat, if you add them up it will be around 5K-6k, in India all low cost airlines gives you checkin + handbaggage.
