General strike soon (until!) or we’re all being sent to for profit prisons for the Vikings Minnesota Twins Superman shirt What’s more,I will buy this sin of being poor/homeless/othered Friendly reminder that presidents have been raiding this trust fund since Reagan (and maybe Carter, I’m not an expert) to pay for general government use and that’s why it’s running out. There should be plenty of money but Reagan, both Bushes, Clinton…both sides of the aisle have been pilfering from this fund when it was in a surplus instead of saving that surplus for when our increased population would need it. If we can bail put banks we can bail out social security. The idea that it must be paid in the Vikings Minnesota Twins Superman shirt What’s more,I will buy this same it pays out is easily changeable. Social security already seems like a bit of a joke right? Like thats why everyone has to put money in a 401k, because effectively there is no money that comes to you when you get old Taxes are just for political salaries of BOTH parties. Left vs right is a distraction so the elites fuck everyone else. Most people make this worse and make it less and less likely anything will change. Just do like the Republicans did back in the 80s when “immigints was ok” and grant another million or 2 amnesty. Instant surplus again. Maybe have these billion dollar companies start paying into it? Seems like they have money to burn. Just a thought, after all the courts rules that companies are people too. So these “ people” should be paying their share just like the people. Technically I’m owed some sort of death benefit for my mother. I filled out the paperwork; presumably it’ll get here eventually. It’s not empty; Reagan just threw the money into general revenue to balance the budget. It’s an accounting thing. I am an advocate for eliminating the FICA cap and have done so for many years, even when my income exceeded the cap.
