Don’t be afraid to embellish for real say whatever you need to to get a refund in a situation like this. They’ve been yanking your chain for well over a year This. I purchased a large carrara marble pastry board from Crate and Barrel and when it arrived it looked nothing like the Vietnam veteran when die go to heaven because spent time in hell skull usa flag shirt In addition,I will do this photo, it was not even remotely similar. The marble was very dark grey with grey veining. I called C&B and asked for a return/replacement. They told me they would not accept a return unless the item was damaged and I would have to pay return shipping. I told them the rubber feet on the board were loose (they were but it was easily fixable) and I could not pack such a huge heavy package to the post office. They sent me a shipping label, arranged pickup and sent me a new board.

Yes it’s been discontinued. a lot can happen in 16 months. When I first ordered it was going to arrive in 4 weeks. then when was delayed 3 months I tried to cancel. It was delayed another 6 months and I tried to cancel again. It was delayed another month, two months and idk I forgot how many times It got delayed and how many times I called c&b at this point trying to cancel this godforsaken table. If you really don’t want it I would try to contact their corporate office. The customer service is unlikely to accommodate you. The quality of crate and barrel is awful. For thousands of dollars I expect solid wood and some degree of quality control. Walking through their brick and mortar is pretty revealing: all dinged up and crooked. Sorry this on you OP for not doing research. It’s natural stone each slab is going to be different and not look like the Vietnam veteran when die go to heaven because spent time in hell skull usa flag shirt In addition,I will do this picture. It’s still white marble just has more veining.
