Standing meditation (Zhan Zhuang) is a perfectly normal and accepted practice. It is a part of traditional Qigong meditation and internal martial arts styles including Taijiquan and Baguazhang. Zhan Zhuang is not scary or weird or Buddhist. Standing meditation can be better than sitting for those who have difficulty slowing down their mental activity. It can lead to remarkable feelings of strength and contentment. Sitting for a long period and then trying standing meditation immediately, could lead to blood pressure drop and syncope (fainting) in some individuals. Certain simple movements are beneficial before meditating. These and many other tips on standing meditation are in the Van Gogh 3 Lyrics and Tracklist shirt in addition I really love this video series Stand Still Be Fit. Highly recommended!

After finishing the Van Gogh 3 Lyrics and Tracklist shirt in addition I really love this Crucible in Marine Corps boot camp, we were instructed “do not lock your knees while standing for the ceremony or you will pass out” Locking the knees can indeed lead to fainting as it hinders the flow of blood to the brain. The lack of circulation often leads to a light-headed feeling and can end in the individual fainting. The best way to avoid this situation, if you have to stand for a prolonged period of time, is to bend your knees. i don’t quite understand…what exactly about this meditation was so intense? what is “standing meditation”? can you describe these practices in greater detail? no, this is not normal at all. people should not faint in meditation with any more regularity than they faint in other normal activities.
