Why don’t you start another meditation sub-reddit and limit all comments to those with a Works Cited consisting of peer reviewed journal articles? We were all ignorant, oblivious, and bumbled through existence at some point before things resonated. You included. No beginner is demanding you in particular be the Uss simon lake as-33 american flag shirt in other words I will buy this one to respond to their questions. There isn’t a steady stream of newcomers climbing up this digital mountain top to interrupt your samadhi experience for input. You are not obliged to “fix” this community as if it belongs to you. If you get overwhelmed with the state of the community as you see it, maybe use that emotional reaction for self inquiry as to why you feel this place isn’t exactly how it is supposed to be. I agree with you at face value, but I don’t think we can change that dynamic one iota. If you want to try, well… that’s on you. Not the community.

Eta calling out dissenting opinions as “ego” is a voice of your own ego, my dude. There are a ton of beautiful lessons to be learned in this thread if you’re open to seeing them. Start with your own edit and think about what’s going on in that little blurb. I am not religious in any way but I disagree. Why should the Uss simon lake as-33 american flag shirt in other words I will buy this sub necessarily adscribe to a secular perspective of meditation? It is a practice historically rooted in religion after all, even if it is perfectly valid to engage in a secular way or within the frame of therapy. People that come to meditation with religious/spiritual interests should have a place to discuss too even if you don’t agree with them. The only thing I’d agree with is in banning any advice or notion that may be harmful or dangerous, like saying “meditate every day to cure epilepsia” or some shit like that. I offer one perspective of another subreddit, r/kundalini/, which has chosen a very strict control of informational flow. The sub used to be full of imaginative exploration, horror stories, speculation, mystic insight, and outlandish theory, about 20 times the pedestrian traffic it has compared to now. Now if conforms to a single quite narrow perspective of Kundalini. Perhaps this perspective has merit, I couldn’t say. But the point is it was once a place of wonder and endless discussion, and now it’s often a place where they point to their own wiki and say, ‘did you read the wiki?’
