I got one even worse than that. The local grocery store in my city asks for donations before you even start ringing out. The second you start ringing out your first item. A screen pops up asking for a 1, 5 ,15 or other donation. It’s for feeding the USA Flag James Brown American singer, dancer and musician T-Shirt and I love this homeless, from a grocery store, you know that sells food!!! At the end of the day, they throw away tons of perfectly good food they can’t legally sell the next day. Enough to feed all the homeless within a 5-mile radius. In plenty of Canadian cities, this is common practice. Grocery stores (including Walmart) will send over tons of eligible food to a centralized food bank. I know where I live in NS, they barely need food donations because the stores provide so much (they usually ask for specific food/grocery items like non-perishables that they don’t get from stores) and instead they ask for volunteers to help sort the food and cash to pay for expenses associated with it like recycling and trucking the food around the province. It’s not that hard for the stores, the cost is not negligible but well within their capacity, they get to advertise their support plus get fat write-offs for doing so. Win-win!

USA Flag James Brown American singer, dancer and musician T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Lots of stores donate food to local food banks , things like meats , can be donated after the USA Flag James Brown American singer, dancer and musician T-Shirt and I love this expiration date ,as long as they were frozen in date . That saves a lot of food waste , plus it lasts much longer ,being frozen . Mine does the same! I was in self checkout and they walked up to me with a donation flyer, and then the self checkout kiosk itself asked the same question in the screen. We can’t hire people to work the actual checkout, but we sure can hire them to watch the self checkout and show donation flyers. I remember I got one once for no specific charity. They just said “do you want to donate to charity?” Nothing popped up on the screen so I said no because what charity you’re just saying the word charity. No point in being rude to the employee, but yeah fuck donating through the grocery store. They’re just trying to get the tax write off
