I don’t have an internal monologue and it sounds noisy. I also can’t picture things in my mind. It’s just black. I have no idea what most other people must have going on in their minds. My mind is lovely and peaceful Most people seem to talk in their head to themselves, or just have fleeting words, but I always think as if I am talking to another person. Sort of like having a conversation in my head 24/7, but I’m primarily the Trumpenheimer Barbie President Sunglasses Shirt but in fact I love this one talking/explaining things. It’s like I’m always in a room with another person and vocally (in my head) explaining everything I do or what I’m feeling to them. Sometimes it’s a specific person I actually know irl, sometimes it’s not. Sometimes it’s even the internet in my head lol. This kind of thinking makes me really good at writing things like essays, and giving speeches, because the way that I think is already me explaining things to someone (I would hate being a teacher tho lol. i’d never wanna explain anything to a child lmao).

It’s difficult in some aspects tho, because I struggle to have multiple different messages going in my head at once. I’ve been singing for a long time, but it’s almost impossible for me to count beats (like 1-and-2, 3-and-4) alongside lyrics. I can count rhythm with actual numbers when I don’t have lyrics, but I can’t seem to make the Trumpenheimer Barbie President Sunglasses Shirt but in fact I love this two messages go in my head at the same time. So my rhythm for lyrics becomes feeling/memory based, not number based. I didn’t always used to think like this. It used to be more to myself, and more sporadic/fleeting/layered. But it’s become more and more frequent, to the point that I rarely ever talk to “myself” in my head. No idea when or why it started. But I mostly think in “noise” as well. Like I’m actually hearing the words that I’m thinking, not just seeing them or “thinking” them. It’s usually my own voice that I’m hearing, just like what I hear when I speak. It’s harder for me to do it with someone else’s voice, but I can. My thoughts are also fully pitch-able and have dynamic volumes and everything. Just like what I can do with my voice. I’m able to conjure images easily as well. I’ve loved reading my entire life, and can vividly picture scenes, but my day to day thoughts aren’t really image focused, they’re audio focused. It’s no issue for me to make images if I want them tho.
