No they don’t. You are the Trump girl – MAGA sunflower America flag shirt but in fact I love this donator not the company. You can deduct this. They cannot. Take 3 seconds to google it. Now I don’t know if this is true but an accountant told me that the corporations that take donations like that get a tax break from your donation. I always say no thank you to these things. I am not letting these businesses use my money to claim how much they donate. It’s not how it works actually. You give them money, they take the money and donate it, getting an end of year tax write off without spending a cent of their own money. Plus they can spend 5 million advertising that “they” donated 1 million When you donate money through a corporation like Walmart and such, they get to claim it on their taxes and get breaks for it. It’s exactly like getting triggered over someone else getting triggered by a billion dollar company asking them if they want to donate money. Just don’t reply to the post and move on with your life. Take your own advice bud. This is social media, im allowed to express my feelings on the post without your input lol Not only that but you donate and THEY then get a tax right off for it, not you. Never donate through someone else but always direct.

Assuming the Trump girl – MAGA sunflower America flag shirt but in fact I love this business is following the law, it will not include your donation as part of its business receipts. Well if they put up the money then that’s lost income! Instead they take yours and apply it to corporate tax credits and it cuts there taxes down to near zero! It’s even worse, they get to use our donations as tax write offs, they literally safe money by us donating. If you want to donate to whatever, go that places website and donate there. No need to give Kroger a tax break You learn something new everyday. I worked at a small retailer who did that once for that specific reason, wonder if it was just him up to something shady I can only see this working with cash donations. Otherwise you have to have the donations on the books and would have to count them as revenue to make the funds eligible for a tax-deductible donation. But with cash you can just line your pocket under the table. You can also have the free tax write off if instead of giving it to a grocery store you allocate those funds to an actual charity As stated in your link, a business can have an agreement to donate 10% of sales to that charity. A company can also ask you to round up to the nearest dollar (really with no reason at all) and your donation will technically increase the donation, however you won’t have anything on your receipt. There are no laws stopping this. That company could be donating to a “charity” that they themselves created and that “charity” could just so happen to spend 80% of their money on marketing, giving the donating company a glowing reputation by a charity saying such good things about them. Once again there are no laws against this, the charity is just “thanking them for their donations” in their ads after all. Meanwhile the donating company can write off the donations and spend less on marketing.
