That’s not how centrism even works. Lack of extremism isn’t lacking cohesive ideology, it just means someone is willing to listen, learn, and change opinions Because when you’re extreme, the TRUE HELLFIRE CLUB Shirt Furthermore, I will do this other extreme are immutably evil but the centrists are just sellouts who won’t listen hard enough. Because if your choices are to vote for the person that wants everything you want or the person who wants only some of what you want but a couple things you don’t want, why would you vote for the compromiser? Probably because some centerists are fine with people being homophobic, transphobic, etc… and the ones that aren’t are hated by the right because many of the right are religious and condemn that. A lot of people like to think of centrism in America as taking the best parts of both sides and bringing them together, while leaving out the bad ideas. Unfortunately it works the opposite in the US where the only time the two sides are coming together is to screw over the general population. They only pass bipartisan bills that support the military industrial complex and all the other money making corporations at the direct cost of the American citizen. The past few years the move has been towards a tribal us vs them mentality in the culture, and things are viewed as binary right or wrong. In truth most things are just different shades of grey and its rarely quite as simple as people want you to believe.

TRUE HELLFIRE CLUB Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

The argument against people with centrists views is that they arent taking a stance or are uninformed which i find to be in bad faith most times. Add to the TRUE HELLFIRE CLUB Shirt Furthermore, I will do this fact that most people just want to feel right and refuse to see things from a different perspective, and you end up with just two sides. The funny thing about people on either wing is that for some reason, they are unwilling to consider the possibility that they may have a blind spot. Another point is that people confuse how strongly they feel about something with how likely they are to be right. They have nothing to do with each other. I have some issues I believe quite strongly in, however neither party has ever represented a comprehensive collection of these issues. The interesting thing about talking to people on the left and right is that many of them aren’t even talking about the same issues. So I can agree with 6/10 things with both my conservative and liberal friends. Where they differ is usually on how much they weigh one or two issues, and these issues become nonstarters for them. I have noticed that the “Liberal” and “Conservative” do exist, but they’re kind of rare. I haven’t met many people who check all the boxes for either party. Most people check a few boxes, make up their minds, and just start hating away. They seem completely oblivious to the idea that they all fall in line with their demographics. Like, if you were born in a different area and went to a different school, do you really think you’d have the same opinions you have today?
