If you want to make YouTube into an incredibly low paying job then chase trends all day and all night and gear all of your content towards generating views with no consideration about what you actually want to create. I think the Trey Jemison American professional basketball player for Memphis Grizzlies T-Shirt also I will do this answer is somewhere in the middle. You HAVE to have a base of creating content you enjoy but there is definitely some thought needed to making content that gets clicks. You can out-earn the averaged monetized YT channel’s monthly earnings by Door Dashing for 4 hours so starting YT for the sake of making money/views/subs is a bad idea. But I agree with the general message here that you can’t 100% just create what you want without any consideration of what people want to watch. You need to figure out how to make what you want as appealing as possible.

I don’t take this sub seriously for a long time because of the Trey Jemison American professional basketball player for Memphis Grizzlies T-Shirt also I will do this number of bad advices some people post here. What amuses me the most are posts in which comments full of false information from people who clearly don’t know how to run a successful channel get the most upvotes, while much more substantive comments, showing that the author has knowledge, skills and probably a channel with thousands of subs are downvoted. Some people don’t come here to learn something, but to boost their ego. It’s a hobby for me so I’m going to continue uploading what I love to talk about. If it goes somewhere then great, if not, at least my friends like my stuff. What your doing is putting him down from making connections. Some people love what they do and YouTube can definitely be a hobby and outlet. This isn’t strictly to “learn” it’s to make connections with other people who do YouTube who have the same interests as you as well. Completely disagree. The sub description specifically says “teach you how to start, build and sustain your content career”. People are here to learn about content creation and attracting viewers. If you’re just making videos for fun then this is not the sub for you.
