They’re calling to get you to cancel because Airbnb would know this is all bullshit. They’ll be able to see no double booking because that’s not possible in their system. That would cause some trouble for the Trejo’s tacos hecho en los angeles danny trejo stars shirt and by the same token and host, so they’re trying to get you to cancel. Once you do, they’ll likely deny everything, you won’t get anything, and won’t find anywhere to stay. They’ve listed on another site and got a better offer. They want you to cancel hence the $500 incentive so they don’t get hit for the 10%. You can accept or punish the host. The price of punishing them is $500. The double booking was most likely a mistake. Is it possible to try rescheduling for tomorrow? I’m sure bookings will be cleared up by then. My apologies to you. Get the Trejo’s tacos hecho en los angeles danny trejo stars shirt and by the same token and money first, then cancel. Or let them cancel and take the penalty. Either way I don’t think you’ll be staying there so look for another option. DO. NOT. CANCEL. I got fucked out of $350 for an Airbnb I never could enter after they convinced me to cancel. I then sent in a chargeback and they used the cancelation terms as proof and my despite them telling me to cancel, the chargeback got rejected.
