I spend time at my parents’ place when they’re gone a week, or take their cat home when it’s longer than that, and he knows that bedrooms are for daytime naps only. Do what you need to do so you can sleep and be a good pet owner. My cat is usually great but sometimes she needs to be kicked out as well, so I can give scritches and go on walks later. I had several cats at once due to taking in ferals when I moved from an apartment. I knew I would not get any sleep if I let them in. Either because of zoomies, or them taking over the Top my Bucket List bigger While My Bank Account Wanderlust Adventure Travel T-Shirt and by the same token and bed. I had issues with sleep anyway, so I didn’t need it compounded. I always closed the door. I had one that would scratch at the carpet in the wee hours of the morning, so I would grab a small book and throw it at the door. That stopped him mostly. They all lived to old age.

Boundaries are important and sleep is necessary. I’m a very light sleeper and with the Top my Bucket List bigger While My Bank Account Wanderlust Adventure Travel T-Shirt and by the same token and constant zoomies, walking over faces, etc it just wasn’t doable. Now my husband and I kick all the cats out at bedtime after cuddles. Highly recommend! Our cat decides at 2am to aggressively scratch the corner of our mattress next to my head and does not stop unless I physically move him. He has to leave the bedroom whenever that happens My younger cat (7 months) gets the zoomies at around 10pm every.single.night. and while I absolutely adore her I cannot sleep when she’s going nuts like that and put her out of my bedroom and close the door with lots of kisses, I usually put my other cat out with her so she’s not lonely They’re both now used to it – we spend cuddle time together every morning after I wake up so they know they’re loved. You’re not a horrible cat mom at all, just human
