Ever since my wife and I have had our cat, he’s always been in his own room at night. We’ve tried multiple times to have him sleep with us but he gets really crazy around bedtime and often stresses my wife out because she can’t sleep with the Nice my Amazing Daughter In Law Gave Me This Retro T-Shirt Besides,I will do this constant zoomies I started locking mine out of my room because at 4 am he starts trying to knock the basket wall decor off the wall onto my head so I wake up and give him treats. Then he figured out how to open the door so I actually have to lock it. You’re fine lol You can teach him. You are not a bad cat mama. The thing that works for me is to 100% ignore them if I’m asleep so they learn they won’t get attention. I use ear plugs if need be! I’ve done it w 3 cats now and they do learn- my SO gets up when they bother him but when he’s away by day 2 they don’t bother trying to wake me! Every time I try to let him sleep with me. He wakes me up to talk about his dreams, thoughts, goals in life, ect. I love him but I’m really not interested in deep conversations at 3am in the morning every morning.

We don’t let either cat in the Nice my Amazing Daughter In Law Gave Me This Retro T-Shirt Besides,I will do this bedroom overnight because one of them starts screaming for food at 2am while the other pokes our faces for cuddles in the dead of the night. Somehow I’ve gotten my kitties on a sleep cycle because they got crated at night. When we first brought them home we’d wear em out and pen them up and now they sleep through the night Nope. Sleep is important. My little shits have eventually figured out that anything but sleep at night in the bedroom = being kicked out. They are always waiting right by the door in the morning after. Happens very rarely now. Everyone happier as a result. Sometimes I wake up and they are gone doing zoomies in the basement together and thats just fine. when we leave the door open, my boyfriend and our two cats sleep om 80% of the bed and i am sleeping on 20% but i still love them. but not something to do everyday.
