I always thought it was just because of something Stephen King wrote that stuck with me. But I think I’ve always had to have my feet covered, long before I read SK. (Born 6 weeks preemie, spent a lot of time in NICU.) I think they mean covered, under the Too Much Pi Gives You A Large Circumference Axolotl Pi Day T-Shirt in other words I will buy this blanket. Personally (premature baby here), I can’t stand wearing socks to bed, however, my feet must be covered by my sheets and blanket. Oh, how strange. My boy wasn’t in the NICU but ended up needing to have his heel poked many times in the months after he was born. He actually can’t sleep with socks on. Drives him nuts. And even with naked little feets, he’s always poking them out of the covers lol Idk why nobody else seems to care/notice, but it drives me crazy. These bots are getting way out of hand. I’ll report it (Spam > Harmful Bots if anyone else wants to) but even if it gets removed, another four will pop up in its place.

I was about to post how uncannily similar he looks with the Too Much Pi Gives You A Large Circumference Axolotl Pi Day T-Shirt in other words I will buy this other post somewhere on reddit about the 3yo who got lost and eventually found after a few days. Hope he recovers fully. What you’re experiencing is an evolutionary response designed well not designed but the effect of which is that humans will take care of other infant humans even if they’re not their own when they’re in distress. There’s something deep within us that makes it very hard to not empathize and sympathize with this little baby. It’s such a strong response that it even extends to other mammalian infants which is why we think puppies and kittens look so God damn cute. Yeah but like, this completely undermines the fact that people can and do make the decision to hurt and help others based on rather they want to or not. Plenty of people will look at this baby and not care I’m having trouble understanding; are these pictures of 2 different babies, or 2 pictures of the same baby? They look very different to me
