The depth in such a tiny baby’s eyes is heart breaking. No one that small should look like they’ve lived through some shit. Memories, maybe not, but this will leave a lasting imprint on their psyche. Very glad the Teacher Summer Recharge Required The Battery Low T-Shirt Also,I will get this mother was found, together they can get through this. God, imagine (assuming she was conscious) what those 54 days were like for her. Terrible. My colleague told me about his older brother that was in a crib when his house got bombed in The Blitz. It took me ages to figure out this was what was bothering him, and I still didn’t make any link between it and NICU until I read your comment today, I thought he was just peculiar ? This made me cry. My twins were born very early and were in the nicu for a long time. It makes me sad that the trauma will follow them into adulthood. Wow….now I know. I always assumed it was just something weird about my feet that I was so aware of them when I’m sleeping. Hmm. I wasn’t an NICU baby, but I hate having my feet covered when I sleep. I wonder what happened to me as a baby to make me like that.
