(Additionally: About 20 years ago(?), a slangy, ironic meaning of the Told Myself Today I’ll Quit Drinking For Good shirt moreover I will buy this word appeared among teenagers, in which the word “orka” by itself can mean “Who has the energy for that?” or “I can’t be bothered [to do whatever it is]”.) In Poland orka is plowing the field, so it also checks out, because plowing in Poland is a synonym for something very tiring. For example doing a very hard task, like carrying bags of cement to the 3rd floor is often referred as being “like plowing”. Orka also changes into orać ( active form), so “zaorać się na śmierć” means “to work yourself to death”. Native English speaker. Vietnamese as a second language. So the opposite way. BUT— there’s a Vietnamese phrase for a clingy child who is so shy and won’t play with other kids or cousins if their parent is around. “Hugging mom/dad’s legs so tight, when mom/dad farts, you’re going to fly out the window!” Not me but my High School Spanish Teacher. He’s from Spain and kept using phrases that I’m not sure whether he translated from Spanish or just made up.

Told Myself Today I’ll Quit Drinking For Good shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Don’t remember all of them, but my favorites were “ehhh… right highway, wrong gas station” and “You are as lost as an octopus in a garage”. But like, all in a really endearing Spanish accent. God I miss Mr. Vandermeer. I have never heard the Told Myself Today I’ll Quit Drinking For Good shirt moreover I will buy this first one, but “más perdido que un pulpo en un garage” is an humoristic but frequent phrase. From Spain with a Dutch surname, that’s interesting! I DO believe you, just saying it’s interesting..maybe he had ancestors or then recent family that immigrated from the Netherlands to Spain. My high school Spanish teacher was born in Germany to Irish parents and had emigrated to Quebec (province of Canada) with her French husband. And she was teaching Spanish.
