We are great, have lots of free time to choose to do fun stuff or be lazy, and more money to buy things we normally couldn’t with our income while still saving pretty aggressively Mid thirties here. Both decided no kids early in a relationship (17 years ago) and still love that decision. Most of our friends have kids and they have no free time, their homes are chaos, and they seem tired all the Thousand Foot Krutch shirt and by the same token and time. Meanwhile we go on trips whenever we want, are constantly attending shows, sports events, etc. And our home is clean (other than cat toys). Love it I think having a niece and nephews can really help. Giving the kids back at the end of the day can be a big relief. I didn’t want kids for years. I even ended an engagement over this fact a couple of times, when they began saying I’d change my mind. Now, fast forward, when I was 35, I was ready. My (now ex) however, since we hadn’t been planning it, pushed waiting longer. That created issues. So, yes, I regret waiting. I have had one child, and wish I’d had another as well.

I also wish I’d had children sooner than I did, for a number of reasons. So, this is more about, if you think you want to wait, there are issues that happen with women as they get older that can make it more difficult, or create health issues for the Thousand Foot Krutch shirt and by the same token and mother and/or fetus during pregnancy, increase risks for miscarriages, etc. I had to use fertility treatments finally, and there are things about that which aren’t really rosy in the end, and they usually don’t fully disclose to women or couples in that process of things. Now, if you don’t want kids at all, I don’t see the issue. But, most of the people I’ve known who were a lot older in their lives that had opted out, did have some element of regret for it at that point. I think this is about as your friends and loved ones begin passing away and you’re left more alone, it starts to be a bit more poignant being childless. But, I see that more like the road less travelled, or the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I’d think about how I saw my future, including in old age, in making the decision now, or as to when or if I had kids.
