I wonder if people were as angry about it 100 years ago as they are now, or if the internet has just made everyone think this is a new phenomenon somehow. So true. I’m from Seattle. I honestly thought I just didn’t like beer. Then I realized I just don’t like IPAs. So for years I avoided beer. Sure, I could have gotten plenty of other mega name brand beers at the supermarket, but everyone says those are shit. “A local craft IPA is the only way to go. Anything else, and you’re just drinking piss.” I like local craft beers just fine…it’s just that the store shelves are so over-saturated with IPAs that I really have to dig to find something like a pilsner or anything that I really DO like. Fortunately, I can head into the actual brewery and they are really good about hooking me up with something I like. Still would be nice to pick up a 6 pack from Safeway, though.

IPA’s can suck a dick. Don’t get me wrong, they’re okay once in a while, but everywhere is so packed full of them while taking away variety from so many other styles of beer. Chain grocery store cakes are not for people you love, they’re for people you’re obligated to shove sugary garbage into. If you love someone, find a good bakery and get a proper cake for them. Preferably fresh. To find a good cake place go to bakeries and try their cupcakes. Came to say this. I’ve had many bakery cakes where I secretly thought “I wish this was Publix”. If you really love someone you order their Publix cake with the This is My Human Costume I’m Really An Alien Vintage T-Shirt in addition I really love this preferred frosting color. Honestly, my kids prefer store cake by a mile. A $50 bakery cake will end up mangled and half-ignored, but a $15 grocery sheet cake will be hauled down like ambrosia. Depends on the kid. I was one of those kids that would scrape the frosting off most obligatory school birthday cupcakes. Not a kid, but I also prefer a simple cake. Usually what you get from a store (atleast here) it’s something basic. When the cake starts having something like pieces of peach inside I’m just like “why?” I tried multiple real bakeries around here to try to make a birthday special… they all sucked. Her favorite is the grocery store one.
