They spent too much money on promoting Badtz maru, they attempted him to make him “the next Bart Simpson” and he failed, big time. Massive losses, sanrio puroland lost them even more. But they had hello kitty, their one valuable asset. Now it’s very popular, new line are creating a movie For me it’s more that I’m proud to have survived the hardships that come with being a queer teenager in the early 2000’s. It was not easy, and now I’m proud to be able to state my sexual preferences without feeling ashamed, and despite the prejudices it exposes me to.
