Lmao these people throw around 100k numbers like it’s nothing. 100k means you are quite comfortable in life especially in states like virgina, Texas, Florida but maybe not California and Washington Bhai SF me dikat bohot hogi. The rent is off charts ’cause of techies. Cities like LA, Boston, new york have sky high rent+ cost of living. Plus a lot of states have very high taxes for people who earn 100-500k (add federal tax to it too). States like Cali and Connecticut are prime examples. ig you could still live alone, a relative of mine is living in sf with salary of 62k, it is a bit rough for him but he’s able to(by investing) so you could live pretty well with 100k for sure This is it. People in the They Advantures Of Mr. Wick Bluey T-Shirt but in fact I love this LGBT community in general grew up in a world that didn’t accept them. Imagine being raised in a religion where homosexuality was a sin, but you were homosexual. Your whole life, you can’t fight this part of you that every voice around you says is of Satan, is a sin, or will send you to Hell. This leads to people hating the part of themselves and entering into a dark place psychologically. When they can finally break out of that, they realize being homosexual isn’t shameful and there is nothing inherently wrong about it. They learn they can finally find pride in themselves again, as opposed to self-loathing.

Now extrapolate this story to anyone in the They Advantures Of Mr. Wick Bluey T-Shirt but in fact I love this LGBT community. Things lately are only getting worse. As Trumpism has polarized the parties, Supreme Court Justices being skewed far right, and DeSantis trying to match Trump’s popularity with his self-proclaimed “war on Woke,” there’s been a lot of animosity toward the LGBT community. People feel targeted and threatened. To be Proud means to bravely stand up to a group who is trying to erase your group from existence. It still amazes me that people care about what others do with their life, as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone who cares what others do… When someone shames you all your life for what you are you either let yourself be shamed or you have to become defensive and become proud of who you are. For example – if someone tells you “you’re disgusting because you’re gay” you either will believe them and be embarrassed about your sexuality and hide or you’ll fight it and step by step learn to love yourself and be proud of your struggle. Thing is, the “pride” (and I’m sure you’re referring to LGBT and pride month, but this is the same for cis women and for people of colour or victimised nationalities etc.) is not only about that objective fact of your sex, sexuality, ethnicity or nationality that you’re proud of. You’re usually proud of the fact that you survived and thrive despite the situation you’re in.
