That’s rough. I would try an alternate resume without your internship for applying to non-tech companies. It may be the Things Rick Astley Will Never Do Give You Up T-Shirt In addition,I will do this difference between being “unlucky person who got a job at Meta at the wrong time” and “person who is dead set on working in Big Tech and will leave at the first opportunity”. tbh can you take meta off your resume? it’s only 6 months, maybe it would be best to just try to blend in with the new grads who don’t have jobs yet Are you applying to startups as well? If so, you really need to cater your background and resume to those companies in a very specific way. If you can polish up your resume to show that you want to work in a “hackathon” manner (that is, grinding it out) you may find more success in your search with startups. I’ve talked to countless other founders about this and everyone says the Things Rick Astley Will Never Do Give You Up T-Shirt In addition,I will do this same thing. There are tons of engineers looking for jobs, but the vast majority of them are still seeking the 2021 style easy engineering jobs. Speaking from my experience so far; dozens of interviews already. I can hire a non-FAANG for half the price. As the founder of a startup, I really second this. FAANG engineers got so used to the lifestyle of working like 25 hours a week remotely while being paid 200k, and startups just can’t afford to hire someone who’s looking for that.
