My partner and I have got sick of people (our neighbours’ visitors mainly) driving over the Things I Do In My Spare Time Drone Pilot T-Shirt it is in the first place but edge of our lawn, and we want to put up a sturdy post to stop them from doing so. The post will be entirely on our land. It sounds like logically we should be well within our rights, but I just want to check here to see if anybody knows of any obscure legal reasons why we could be liable for any damage. Our neighbours on the affected side are round the corner, so their back fence is our side fence. Our lawn extends a metre or so beyond their back fence, and there is a public bay there. I’ve tried to draw it to give a better idea. This means that when people pull away from the space, they drive over the corner of our lawn – not a massive deal, but they sometimes churn it up and damage it a bit, so we would like to prevent this.

Things I Do In My Spare Time Drone Pilot T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

We currently have a flimsy post hammered into the Things I Do In My Spare Time Drone Pilot T-Shirt it is in the first place but lawn just beyond the edge of the parking space. This has been run over so many times that it no longer stands up. We want to set in a deeper, sturdy post with some reflective markers to make it more obvious. But this means that if somebody hits it, it will cause some damage to their car. I’d feel comfortable defending this because they are driving over our property to do it. But you never know if there’s a weird law about reasonable expectations of the driver etc (just like how I’ve been surprised to learn that you can’t block somebody in when they park on your drive!) Does anyone have any knowledge that would confirm whether we are legally in the clear to put up this sort of barrier on our property?Provided you make it obvious, there’s nothing to prevent you putting a post or a large boulder on your own lawn; at the end of the day the onus is on the driver to avoid any obstacles and stay on the road and off people’s gardens. I wouldn’t go digging a 10ft pit and covering it in camo netting or whatever. I was going for a Spinal Tap reference, but I digress, as to not take away from the actual legal advice OP was after, and just be making silly pop culture references
