This might sound like sugarcoating. Sure, It’s not any utopia or anything. But any of the They hate us because they ain’t us Fighting Irish Grinch xmas shirt Besides,I will do this things you hate about this nation, simply don’t exist here or are very much under control. I will Say Guwahati, friendly people, beautiful mountains from meghalaya, great nearby tourist destinations, less population compared to most indian cities, low cost of living… Only problem is lack of so many jobs and occasional floods… People from all over North East live here, so even though it is part of assam, it does feel like a multicultural city Nashik, though it has very less IT jobs but it’s has manufacturing industries, also it’s one of the few cities that won’t face water shortage in near future(Godavari river originates from here). It’s surrounded by mountains, and in cases of terrorist attract we have army base ,police training base . Artillery center. Connection to Pune and Mumbai is good. More importantly it’s peaceful and cheap. If you are middle class Mohali is the place to be. Houses are still affordable. There is no crime to speak of. The roads are wide. There are no traffic snarls. It is clean and spacious. It is developing very rapidly due to influx of higher educational institutions and IT industry. There are already a lot of malls, pubs, breweries and premium eating joints in Mohali. In the next 5 years it is likely to reach where Gurgaon is today in terms of availability of entertainment avenues.

If you are lower middle class, I’d suggest Belgaum. It is a nice quiet city with a slow pace of life. Don’t look for a lot of entertainment options. You’d get a peaceful life here. Other good cities are Coimbatore, Trivandrum, or Cochin. Note: I have lived in New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Belgaum, Jorhat, Allahabad, Mohali for varying durations of time and have travelled extensively in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. For me it would be HYDERABAD because it has people from all Cultures of life. Unlike Bangalore, HYD welcomes everyone across India irrespective of whether they know the They hate us because they ain’t us Fighting Irish Grinch xmas shirt Besides,I will do this local language or not. Another thing is that it is indeed a cosmopolitan city without any language issues which makes you more comfortable. Last i heard is Hindi is spoken more even more than Telugu itself. May be that’s why you are saying language isn’t an issue forgetting southern half of India.
