Personally, my They Call Him Babyyaga he has 100 ways to kill you John Wick The Golden T-Shirt Also,I will get this goal is to maximize happiness. I’m willing to suffer some if it brings me something I want later, but how much suffering for how much enjoyment is a very important detail. When I was in college, I worked my fucking ass off. If you would have offered me a job paying 300k or even 200k for 80hrs a week, I would have taken it in a heartbeat. Now a few years in I could care less. I care about friends, family, hobbies, traveling. Fuck working a ton of hours, I’d be miserable. The fact it does not even have 401k is huge negative. Comparing that with 130k with pension with good life work balance it shouldn’t even be a question. Depends. Long term, yes. But if you can rough out a few years making that kind of money, you’ll be able to retire earlier.

Yes you retire at a younger age, but you most likely didn’t actually gain any time/freedom, you just shifted it to the They Call Him Babyyaga he has 100 ways to kill you John Wick The Golden T-Shirt Also,I will get this end. I personally have worked avg 70hrs a week for 150-200k for 13 years. I don’t think I’m in the majority here but the hours don’t bother me. Healthy or not, I get a huge sense of satisfaction and sense of purpose from working and see it as part of who I am to an extent. I know that most people don’t, and need to/do find that in other areas, so I would just do some reflection and think about how you will handle losing things that you are able to do now and whether the money gained at what that will allow you to do with it is worth it. Depends on what you want. For some people chasing money/status is the hobby. In that case go for the higher salary. If that’s not what drives you and 90-130K (huge range) is enough to live the lifestyle you want, go with that. Thanks for the comment! I am currently making 96k but I put 130k because I am still climbing the ladder and that is where mid-senior level is for the trajectory I am on. The only reason why I know that is because one of my buddies is about 5 years ahead of me and is providing me with some valuable knowledge along the way.
