I am sorry you had to go through that. Sadly it is very normalized for women to be treated as second class citizens in a lot of places. Stay safe❤️ “Hindu fundamentalism” isn’t really a thing, it’s a relatively liberal religion compared to Christianity and Islam. There are many major political leaders who are openly atheist and most of their voters are religious but don’t care as long as you aren’t critical/hateful of their beliefs. Not sure what you mean here ,but the The Only Problem With Cows Is That I Can’t Have All Of Them Farm shirt Besides,I will do this constitution is very liberal and secular . Atheists are not marginalised in any way What do you plan to do in your future that is different from the religious population’s norms (family values, education etc.)? Thank you for your explanation! It is great to hear that people are generally open minded. The reason why I asked the question about laws is because I come from a country which has a few policies against secularism and freedom of speech. Sorry if I sounded ignorant. A liitle correction: Criticising someone’s religion in front of them will highly likely get you injured, worse, leave you dead. It is not uncommon to hear about people killing each other over their religious beliefs. Please do not do this Highly likely to get you injured . Yeah a lot such people exist , little bit too many for anyone’s liking , but it’s absolutely not highly likely . It’s not even normal likely . People kill each other over the most random shit and religion is all the rage nowadays but thisnis a bit too much surely.

Religious criticism inside home is pretty common , but deliberately berating any religion outside home would put you in danger. Brother don’t ever criticise any religion infront of other people, the The Only Problem With Cows Is That I Can’t Have All Of Them Farm shirt Besides,I will do this guy who commented may have had a positive experience in his environment but this country is definitely polarised and for every 10 people with liberal beliefs there are 100s more who take their religion very seriously. So no one will care about your atheism, just make sure you don’t pass comments on other religions just to be on the safe side. No it’s a very valid question. India is secular and on many fronts the religion you were born into will never matter. I would note that recently there has been a surge in religion based violence (mainly in central and north west India), and it’s something India has struggled with for a while, but also that it’s really more of a social mobility issue. Our constitution and (most) policies are entirely secular, and we’re waiting on a few more changes that will further cement this. What policies does your country have that are anti secular? In my country, the president is very religious but the government is secular on paper. People constantly get arrested for criticizing religion or get ridiculed by the president for having different views. Freedom of speech is a big joke to put it simply.
