Teachers are tasked with educating and nurturing the The Man Behind The Voice Of Baseball Poster Classic T-Shirt in addition I really love this next generation, it should be one of the highest paying jobs in the entire world. I’m surprised at the top answers in this thread. Jobs like retail work, custodial, etc., are low-skill jobs that anyone can do with little to no training and shouldn’t command high wages. I expected to see teachers here because it’s the “in thing” to call teachers underpaid, but honestly $50,000 per year with benefits for nine months of work and a workday that ends at 3 p.m. isn’t a bad wage at all. It’s not a popular opinion, but I’d say police officers are underpaid. You’re getting paid less than teachers and your day-to-day risk is much higher and the work is garbage. You’re called in at all hours in all weather and everyone treats you bad.

Another one is tow-truck drivers. You couldn’t pay me enough to crawl under a car on the The Man Behind The Voice Of Baseball Poster Classic T-Shirt in addition I really love this side of a busy freeway in the middle of winter to hook a chain to an axle. No thanks. Teachers literally make the future of humanity and get paid way less than other jobs with similar education requirements. And have to deal with incredible bullshit from people who don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about. Holy crap, how did i have to scroll this far down to find journalist? Half these other jobs mentioned would be a substantial pay raise for me if i switched to them. You keep sharing the median pay for all jobs… what if I told you that the “median pay in the US” is far too god damn low? If you told me that I’d think you’re a bit out of touch considering the US has nearly the highest median income in the world. They are criminally overworked, which in any industry means the work to pay ratio feels criminal no matter how comfortable the pay rate is. Yeah, I’d have to disagree with this one. My mom has been an RN for 35+ years. She ALWAYS has a job offer for an ungodly amount—even for part time, as needed work. She has a problem with an employer, and she just has to accept another amazing offer the next day. Demand is so high that no facility can stay fully staffed. The shifts are long, and sometimes she has to travel, but I certainly would not say she’s ever been underpaid. My mom’s a nurse, my sister is a nurse, my wife is a nurse, my mother in law is a nurse, and I am a nurse. We are not underpaid.
