We always dig wells for them. Then we find some kind of ore and make it a mine for all the The Grinch Santa stole shirt and I will buy this locals to slave away in. We’ll eventually find water. In the meantime, keep digging guys. ~s Motivation mainly. The ultra rich tend to get all philanthropist when they get bored or old, but their driven years are entirely focused on gain. Bill Gates helps a lot, a LOT of impoverished people but that was after he took over the planet with Windows and quit. Plus it was the best way to not pay a ton of taxes. Give yourself money, call it a charity. We aren’t at the right phase for most of them. Zuckerberg, Bezos, Musk, all are either still actively accumulating or only recently stepped down. It’s not even about money and people get lost trying to understand that.

How bad do you look if it fails? If I dig a well in Africa and it collapses in 2 years there’s no hit to my reputation. If Bezos does he could lose billions just in the The Grinch Santa stole shirt and I will buy this bad PR. My father built some kind of water filtration and pumping set up in Africa many years ago with a German group. When they went back to check on it, the locals had torn the entire place down. When asked why they tore it down they were told that all the people who used to haul water back and forth to town were angry that they lost their jobs, so it was destroyed for them to have employment against.
