My personal vote is make the The Grinch Denver Broncos Shirt Apart from…,I will love this switch, but I do not have that same level of love and commitment to my coworkers or job. I have moved jobs for the same money just because i have learned everything in the old job. Getting too comfortable will dull the mind. Well, consider that it is a +41% increase in salary. While money isn’t everything, that is a sizable increase in salary. Do you know if either place is more stable than the other? First, see how close your current employer will get to matching the salary. Tell them you were given an offer that is too much more money to ignore, but you’d prefer to stay where you are. Perhaps speak to your direct manager about it and see what can be done, as budget will likely have to be reallocated if there is no open headcount.

If they cannot match it, then give your notice. Write individual emails to those you admired, swap numbers/social media with those you really got along with. And send one email to ‘everyone’ that is just generic, with you LinkedIn profile encouraging people to stay in touch. EDIT: The offer is the The Grinch Denver Broncos Shirt Apart from…,I will love this market telling you that you are being underpaid. So consider that you are worth $120K a year, but are only being currently paid $85K. Meaning your current employer is pocketing the $35K difference. I was in a similar position, just passed 1-year at my new job. It pays more which is great, and the people/work are great while also different enough that it feels new. 7 years is a looong time at a company which is a testament to how much you’ve enjoyed your time there, but I’d think it’s time to move forward if you’ve found a great next step. It seems like you’re comfy with your work, the environment, and salary. However, the difference between 85K and 120K is nontrivial. It’s not like going from something like 180K to 140K either where you get to a certain point of “having more than enough money” (although I guess some could argue with inflation, it’s still worth noting).
