It was just me flying over to Miami as my husband and his fam live there. My return flight was £400, this was in March this year and I got the The Charlie Daniels Band Play Music Shirt but in fact I love this tickets in the January sales iirc. I always shop around as I’ve flown over semi-regularly! Ours was last year and we ended up spending about £22k. We had 100 guests. Didn’t really want to DIY anything, so that money went on a good, organized venue with dedicated wedding coordinator, 4 course meal and basically unlimited alcohol (we didn’t run out of what we supplied anyway!), photographer, band for live music during reception, 2 nights accommodation for 10 people (our immediate family), registrar fees, flowers/venue decor, cake, wedding stationery, bridal dress and groom’s suit, hair and make up for bride and both MILs, wedding rings (which we forged ourselves!).

The Charlie Daniels Band Play Music Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

This was for wedding ceremony, flowers, 3 course meal for 80 people plus another 40 at night, band, photographer, wedding dress + 3 bridesmaids dresses, invitations, honeymoon. We DIY’d the The Charlie Daniels Band Play Music Shirt but in fact I love this whole thing and almost fell out with the venue because they wanted to go overboard with the wedding because of their reputation – basically left them with – make sure their is enough food and that it tastes good and your reputation will be fine. Cake was from M&s and decorated by my mum – £100. Centre pieces were recycled jars with river pebbles and twigs sprayed white – £5 £15k, we had 100 guests so the big chunks were booze, food and the venue. We did as much as possible ourselves in terms of decorations etc, but the venue especially was a wee bit of a rip off (though absolutely gorgeous).
