LPT3: Fuck employers that will drop you because you aren’t 100% qualified. It might take them several months of fruitless searching before they’ll finally have that light bulb come on and say ‘Maybe we should be a little less stringent for some of these’. Don’t just rely on linked in- in fact, you should be applying directly on company websites and don’t just rely on repost sites. Be confident and just apply. Once you start interviewing, hopefully that will get you in the right mindset of talking about yourself and it will get easier. You cannot be passive when looking for a job unless you have nepotism to fall back on. My recent job search, i applied to 5 positions, interviewed with 3 roles and got an offer in less than 3 weeks.
