if your values are in the Teletubbies hurt everyone the Simpsons shirt but in fact I love this middle, they’re in the middle, but “neutrality in times of oppression is not neutrality, it’s choosing the side of the oppressor”. additionally you have a bunch of pricks who are not centrist but say they are because they don’t want to be labeled (generally right leaning but not universally) Cuz both sides are cults with multiple levels of radical. The middle was forced into the right by this administration and I can’t wait for the day people don’t look republican for not agreeing with the left. I wanted RFK and I’m not a fan of Trump but you say anything negative about biden and they talk about Trump. I make it clear that if I have to pick it’s Trump over Biden, so they assume I love Trump lmao

Centrism is when you can’t decide or don’t have your own opinion on where you stand on a particular issue, annoying the Teletubbies hurt everyone the Simpsons shirt but in fact I love this f out of everyone on both sides. It is also seen as the lazy way out of thinking. It stands in for a very ingrained form of Conservatism, against sweeping positive change and the absence of tension, i.e. if it is a problem with other people, and cause a system I benefit from say the Civil Rights Movement to the US system, if it achieved it’s aims the political, economic, social, and cultural parts would make it harder for say Middle to Upper Class white people potential great harm their power and benefit would end, but they aren’t racist so after getting several rights bills through, they stalled it and when the people put once put up righteous resistance, they mowed them down to keep their peace and force the end of tensions. That’s centrism, it isn’t balance, pragmatism, or realistic, as much as pretext for maintaining and tweaking what exists.
