when you have 1 candy bar, and someone else has 100 candy bars, but they try to convince you to give your 1 candy bar to help the Teachers Plant Seeds That Grow Forever Sunflower T-Shirt In addition,I will do this needy instead They’re too busy donating to Republicans who then cut social services so the charities and donations are needed in the first place. So it should be acceptable for us to ask cashiers for a few bucks if we are short on paying the bill right? “ hey cashier, would you be interested in donating $2.78 so this mommy can enjoy an evening of ice cream after putting all the kids to bed?” Same as politicians asking me to donate to their cause… like gtfo I saw you’ve made 60% returns over the last year on your stock picks. The grocery store where I shop has their cashiers ask if you want to donate. Typically they ask if you simply want to round up to the nearest dollar amount. I like paying an exact amount, when possible, so I honestly don’t mind, whether or not they get a tax break, and it’s always less than a dollar. First, it took a few years… But Walmart successfully trained us to bag our own groceries. After that, you get done ringing yourself up, trying to figure out how to open those stuck together plastic bags, and then they say “would you like to round up so we can make ourselves look good by using your donation in our name,” When the truth is… If you want to really donate to a good cause, mentally put that $.50 in a piggy bank, And when it builds up a little bit… In your mental piggy bank… donate it in your name and get the tax credit for it. I’ve never seen any place ask for more than $3. A lot of places now ask if you want to round up your total, so the most you’d give is 99 cents. Christ, people are so angry at businesses they find anything to yell about. Guess what, you don’t have to do any of it.

Growing up, I remember grocery stores collecting donations for the exact organization that supplied me with insulin and other free medical supplies. Being asked to donate to them is hilarious. No thanks, but you could give me some cash directly to cut out the middleman. I need context. Did this person do their research n make sure the company their referring to didn’t dontate anything/anytime or r u just saying that b/ they r a successful company? Legit question The reason they can’t donate money to end child hunger is because they’re donating money to republicans for lower taxes and make it harder for the government to help hungry children. They want to shift the burden of helping people from everybody, to just people who care about helping people.
