I always trusted my kids to know how much to eat. As for eating the T.J. Watt Superstar Pose American football linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this types of foods they were served, the rule was ‘you don’t have to like it you just have to eat it.’ I know that wouldn’t work with everyone, but it worked marvels with my kids. Our rule was if you don’t like it, don’t eat it, but don’t complain. If you complained or refuse at least a small trial bite of something you haven’t tried before you went straight to bed. If you didn’t eat it but did eat some stuff you did like you could make yourself a pb&j after dinner. But that was the only option for an alternative. We always had plenty of bread (like 4 loaves bare min 2 frozen, 2 in cupboard), jam, and pb from Costco. (5 of us kids)

So this question comes from a non-parent, obviously. Kids should not be in charge of making life decisions affecting their health and wellness. Seriously, who’s trusting the T.J. Watt Superstar Pose American football linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers T-Shirt Apart from…,I will love this kid that sticks their fingers in paste and shoves it up their nose to feed themselves properly?? I totally refuse to go into battle with my kids over food. They eat heaps of all food groups and love fresh food. They eat whenever and I cook meals too. Unless there’s a medical issue why stress? Pick your battles I say. Yeah this can lead to some pretty unhealthy eating habits in the future. My partner was forced to always finish his food as a kid. He now hyper-focuses (adhd) and inhales his food. He doesn’t even realize he’s full and keeps eating. He’s not severely overweight or anything, but he has been diagnosed with high cholesterol and had some serious acid reflux that made him go on a crazy diet for a while. He is coming around to the idea of being mindful as he eats. He sees me eat about half of my (ridiculous american portioned) meal at a restaurant and then usually eat the rest a few hours after we get home. I have to remind him that it isn’t morally wrong to not finish every scrap of food on your plate in one sitting.
