We got the Sun Of Righteousness Will Rise T-Shirt In addition,I will do this weird call back to eating disorders when their mom served a salad and a small fish. Then they made him drink a weird smoothie out of the barren fridge. The episode made complete sense: the Roy kids with their arrested development, playing “corporate” like children playing house. Tom playing the long game to finally win Succession. Logan definitely helped to coach Tom on this, like he coached him thru his separation with Shiv. Ken lost everything to be CEO, gave it all up, and in the end it was all for nothing. That’s the meaning of the final scene of him, looking at the horizon, desolate. There’s something about that kind of money that makes people immune to cruelty but the poor man was the most immune. Tom was the choice. Because he ate his way to the top and most of it didn’t taste good. The fact that Kendall lying about lying that he killed someone seemed to be the final nail in the coffin for both Shiv and Roman is nuts but also makes so much sense. When ken put his feet up on their dad’s desk – you could see the hate from Shiv. The thought of “how dare he”. That was the moment it fell apart for Ken. The ego before the fall. Kendall walking alone in the park with Colin trailing behind… just like Logan, but without the title of CEO. A fitting end.

Notice how Roman gave up his fascist dreams so easily. Absolutely ridiculous footnote to the Sun Of Righteousness Will Rise T-Shirt In addition,I will do this decision to call the election for Mencken. Sounds like they will revote in Wisconsin. Shame her kids will experience a terrible marriage and a fractured relationship with their uncles who will HATE their mom for life. I have to separate my sheer anger and frustration from the quality of the episode. It was brilliant. Brilliant fucking episode, season, and show. I have always had a soft spot for Ken. This was utterly tragic to watch. Part of me is happy the writers didn’t show us what happened to Kendall/left it open-ended but also I feel like my imagination is even worse. It’s not that I’m mad about the way things turned out. Tom said it – shiv didn’t want to fail marriage. She chose marriage. What I’m mad about is the non-ending of it all. No resolution on Mencken, and no clear resolution for Kendall. I get that’s the point, but it’s frustrating. It’s giving me sopranos but at least sopranos it was a 50/50 result, and to me was very obvious what happened. This was just a bit underwhelming for a show with such amazing finales. It felt rushed. I get why they were all surprised it was the end lol. Might just be me but I felt a little disappointed by how much of the season focused on Kendall and whether he would become a second Logan, only for him to then lose due to the actions of others. Not saying he should have been CEO, but it just felt like Shiv and Rome at least got to be a bit more active players in shaping in their endings (Shiv betraying Ken and Rome supporting that), while a lot of what Ken did this season felt kind of pointless.
