I have a drawer full of phones, apple and android, going back to my 3GS, that are perfectly functional but the Stop Pretending Your Racism Is Patriotism T-Shirt but in fact I love this software keeps moving forward making them slow and then obsolete. I have a pile of laptops with the same issue I mean the new features are really not all that interesting anymore. I think if I want I can get my s22u to 5years. Funny thing when I bought my first iPhone back in 08, I was planning to use it for 10 years…next year I got 3gs…then 4s…then 5s…then I gave up on that shit. Got a x as a gift and use it once a week maybe as back up. I’ve had my note 9 since launch. it’s getting to be on its last legs after a few mishaps here and there over the years, but until it stops working It’s sticking around. When that day does come I plan on trying to find another note 9 I mean, I replaced my last phone due to unsustainable performance issues… but it was not quite 7 years old at that point. And the battery life was essentially shot long before then, though I could compensate for that by keeping chargers handy in every room & in the car. I couldn’t compensate for the constant crashes & freezing up in more & more apps.

Stop Pretending Your Racism Is Patriotism T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I’m hoping to keep this one 5+ years… but I can’t afford no $1,000 flagship (or the Stop Pretending Your Racism Is Patriotism T-Shirt but in fact I love this kind of $50-$80+ monthly plan that lets you finance one), so I’m a little concerned I won’t be able to. Still using my Pixel 3. It’s 3.5 years old now and the battery is still perfectly fine. Unless the Pixel 7 includes 5 year of OS updates (not just security), I’m going elsewhere. If the 3rd party ROM people can support a phone more than 3 years, Google can too. Making “changeable parts” uses more resources than people that will actually do upgrades. You’d need to change 25% more for the device and it would still get behind anyway. What we need to push for is better recycling of the rare earth materials in old devices. That is where the environmental harm in making new devices comes from overwhelmingly.
