I also enjoy spending time alone and relaxing. Reading or playing video games. I live in the Stepping into my October birthday with gods grace and mercy T-Shirt But I will love this woods so a lot of time BBQing while blasting music or sitting on the porch drinking cold beers. I know children are amazing and having the love of family is like nothing else but I have to admit I am pretty happy on my own. All of these replies sound so nice. I had kids without truly understanding the implications or fully planning for them. Life is hard. Stick to your guns. I had a nice childhood and good relationship with my family, and I appreciate children in general. But I have no desire to have my own. I’ve watched my siblings and my friends procreate and I’m like “meh”. And the thing is, free time and alone time is a big big part of my type of happines. I’m a very creative introverted person and have many hobbies and interests. The expectation of having a job, and kids, and a household to run, and a relationship to work on is just exhausting to me. Not to mention the absurd expectations put on mothers, no thanks!

I have also invested into my friendships a lot over the Stepping into my October birthday with gods grace and mercy T-Shirt But I will love this years, and the idea of living inside a “baby bubble” with mainly my partner and kids and a few “mommy friends” is uncomfortable and limiting. Was genetically predisposed to die at 10. Medical science got me past that, however I’ll go with the fate i would have never had kids. I also don’t want to bring any kids into this world. There are heaps of people already. Carbon footprints, expense, and the fact I’d never be the centre or my universe again. Nah I’m good, my dog is all i need. I get asked this a lot by family and it’s so frustrating! Yeah okay, I’m going to have a kid because Aunty Lynne who I see once a year if that, says “it suits you”.
