I know there will be some disappointment with not having kids, and I probably won’t have kids(it’s in the Star Wars MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU merry christmas shirt but in fact I love this plan, working towards bettering myself and my financial situation) But if it all comes to the point and I don’t have kids by the end of my life, I know it would probably be for thr best. I gotta say my wife and I didn’t want any children, then we had one and got a vasectomy, turns out it’s the most fun in the whole world. I don’t envy parents of multiple kids tho tbh that’s just so much. We got a little pal and she’s truly the best. It’s way more fun than it is difficult. And we’re poor as fuck. Honestly I would ask parents who have kids why it sucks instead. Just like I would ask people without kids what they regret. People who eagerly rave about the choices they made can be honestly just coping and over compensating to seem more right or to convince themselves they are right regardless of whether they chose to have kids or chose not to. The most truthful answers would be asking people what they regret about their choices rather than why they think what they chose is rad. But you, the people who don’t want kids. Your bloodline ends up with you. Your name will soon disappear. Don’t you wanna leave something good behind? Leaving the world a little bit better? You so hedonistic you only think for the moment.

Late 40s, wife and I never had kids and enjoying it. I do not have any long explanation for it, just never wanted kids. Life is good just my wife and i, don’t regret it It’s better to regret NOT having a child than to regret having a child. When you have a child, it’s a whole other real human person to consider. And it’s not a choice to be taken lightly. We’re in our early 40’s and are completely fine. Just bought our dream house, can do as we please when we want to. Can indulge our hobbies and have an excellent social life. I don’t yearn for the Star Wars MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU merry christmas shirt but in fact I love this kids we didn’t have. I see friends/family struggling with bills and school fees. Of course they love their children to the moon and back and we love our dogs to the moon and back too. Life is good. 52 and 53. No regrets. Sometimes I worry about our final years. Especially as I see myself step up to care for my aging parents. But every time panic sets in I just pause and remind myself that most of my friends with children have a GAWD DAMN circus shit show going on. Their children either hate them, have failed to launch and will be useless in those final years or are simply waiting for them to die in hopes of an inheritance. There is no guarantee any of their children will be “caring” for them. So……I’m happy with my choice.
