I thought I didn’t want kids till I had one…Love the Spidey Pilgrim Shirt Also,I will get this turd. They do change your life tho. Plenty of things I used to do that I can’t really now that I miss. Deciding to have them is a weird emotional decision. Deciding to stop having more is another one. I’m sure you can be happy (or unhappy) both with and without. Nearly 40 here. God no! I love not having kids. I’ve always seen them as a sticky, loud, restrictive money pit and they were never for us. My husband has a son he’s nearly 17 now – he always regretted having a child (combo of two young stupid people) he’s a great dad but would definitely change things if he had his time again. A lot of my friends have/want kids and that’s great for them, they enjoy parenthood (usually) and I’m happy for them. The friendship usually changes after they’ve had kids but that’s to be expected. My feeling about kids was always “they’ll have to catch me first,” which could easily have happened if I were straight. Even after coming out, though, I still felt parenthood lurking just around the corner. Finally I got a hysterectomy at age 48 and can truly believe my child-free life is real and cannot be taken from me. In the evenings after a long work day my wife and I joke about “well we better go make sure their homework gets don— oh wait! Sweeeeet we forgot to have kids and thus have no after-work duties”

My partner and I are closer to 40 than to 30 and neither have ever wanted to have kids. I’ve felt this way to some degree my whole life. I’ll be surprised if I ever end up regretting it but even if I do, I’ll figure it out somehow (with the Spidey Pilgrim Shirt In addition,I will do this full involvement of my partner of course). Neither he nor I even really feel like true adults anyway. We save the hypothetical money we don’t have by still living in our respective family homes. We each have fairly crappy jobs that don’t pay a living wage. Children are unaffordable even if we wanted them and the last thing the planet needs is more humans to pollute and be greedy about resources. There’s enough crap to try to deal with on a daily basis without throwing offspring into the mix. No thank you.
