I’m a 911 dispatcher & it’s a hindrance in a couple ways. I don’t speak it well enough to even try translating yet, but I understand a good amount (way more than 3 years ago). I don’t think that they are lying. I understand quite a bit of German and a little bit of Spanish, but I can’t form a sentence in either language to save my life.
